On Thursday, December 4th
Brockville police say a 44-year-old man was arrested after a series of disturbances at two local businesses on Dec. 4.
Officers were first called around noon after the man entered a Staples store on Parkedale Avenue. Police say he stole a space heater and threatened to harm a staff member before leaving the area.
A short time later, the same man went to the Lanark Leeds Grenville Mental Health and Addictions office on Front Avenue, where the situation became more serious.
According to police, he grabbed and shoved a staff member, threw an energy drink at another employee, and made threats toward several people. Police say he also threw a boot that struck a staff member and caused property damage inside the building.
Officers found the man nearby and arrested him. Police say he was already on probation. He now faces several charges, including assault, uttering threats, mischief, theft, and probation violations.
