Lanark County OPP are investigating a home invasion robbery near Smiths Falls that left a teenager with minor injuries.
Police say officers were called to Glenview Road in Drummond–North Elmsley Township around 1 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 12. A 19-year-old was staying in a camping trailer on a residential property when three masked males allegedly forced their way inside.
Investigators say the suspects assaulted the victim and stole several items before fleeing to a vehicle parked nearby. The victim suffered minor injuries and was treated by Lanark County Paramedics as a precaution.
OPP believe the incident was targeted and say there is no ongoing risk to public safety.
The investigation is continuing with help from the Lanark OPP Crime Unit and OPP Forensic Identification Services.
Police are asking anyone with information, including surveillance or dash camera video from the area, to contact Lanark County OPP at 1-888-310-1122 and quote incident number E260048843.
