Investigators say both the King Street West and Parkedale Avenue Shoppers Drug Mart locations have been hit by similar crimes in recent years
Brockville police are investigating a break and enter at the Shoppers Drug Mart on King Street West early Tuesday morning, October 22. Officers responded around 4 a.m. after an alarm went off at the downtown store.
Police say four suspects smashed a window to get inside. They were dressed in dark clothing, wearing hoodies and balaclavas to hide their faces. Once inside, the group targeted the cosmetics section, breaking into a glass cabinet to steal high-end fragrances.
The suspects took off in a vehicle within minutes, leaving behind significant damage. The estimated value of the stolen merchandise is about $15,000, though police are waiting for a final inventory from the store to confirm the total loss.
Investigators say both the King Street West and Parkedale Avenue Shoppers Drug Mart locations have been hit by similar crimes in recent years.
