Brockville police say a 30-year-old man was arrested on January 5 after being seen running near the city’s police station in a state of undress.
Officers quickly located the man in the area between the railway tracks and the side of the police station. He was taken into custody without incident.
Police say the man has been charged with Indecent Act and Being Nude in a Public Place under the Criminal Code. He remains in custody pending a bail hearing and a future court date.
Authorities are aware that images of the incident have circulated on social media. While unusual events can attract public attention, police remind the community to use social media responsibly. Sharing images or commentary before court matters are resolved can spread misinformation, affect the dignity of those involved, and raise privacy concerns.
Police continue to investigate the incident.
