Organizers encourage residents to check the North Augusta Recreation Committee’s Facebook page for additional details

The 96th annual North Augusta Labour Day Festival is set to bring the community together throughout the Labour Day long weekend.

The festival gets underway today at 6 p.m. and continues through Monday, Sept. 7, with activities planned for all ages.

Organizer Sherry Peters says there will be plenty happening throughout the weekend.

The popular Labour Day Parade will return Monday at noon, giving residents another chance to take part in one of the weekend’s longtime traditions.

Peters is also thanking the volunteers who help make the festival possible.

She says the event also relies on support from local businesses and sponsors to keep the annual celebration going.

Organizers encourage residents to check the North Augusta Recreation Committee’s Facebook page for additional details.
