Law enforcement personnel will turn Brockville streets into part of a provincewide tribute today as runners and cyclists make their way toward Ottawa for the National Peace Officers’ Memorial Ceremony.
The annual National Peace Officers’ Memorial Run and Ride to Remember will bring cycling riders through the city at about 4:30 p.m. The group will travel along King Street West, pass the courthouse and continue north on Stewart Boulevard.
The running group is expected around 5 p.m., also arriving from King Street West before gathering at the courthouse.

The events honour peace officers who died while working to promote safety in their communities.
The participants will continue toward Ottawa for Sunday’s National Peace Officers’ Memorial Ceremony on Parliament Hill.
Residents are invited to attend the Brockville ceremony and join participants in paying tribute to fallen officers.
