One person is dead following a single-vehicle collision in North Grenville.
Ontario Provincial Police say officers from the Grenville County detachment responded to the crash on County Road 43 near Burritts Rapids Road shortly before 7:45 p.m. Thursday.
The North Grenville Fire Department and paramedics also attended the scene.
Police say the 44-year-old driver, who was from Ottawa, was pronounced dead at the scene.
County Road 43 was closed in both directions between Burritts Rapids Road and County Road 25 for several hours as investigators examined the crash. The road has since reopened.
Members of the Grenville County OPP are continuing to investigate with assistance from the OPP East Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement team.
Police are asking anyone with information about the collision, including relevant dashcam footage, to contact Grenville County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
