Ontario Health Minister Sylvia Jones visited Brockville General Hospital with Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes MPP Steve Clark.

Clark said the visit was an opportunity to showcase work by hospital staff to improve the patient experience and provide quality, compassionate care.

Jones toured the hospital and visited the acquired Pearl Street Site, where discussions focused on plans to transform the former school into a Community Health Hub.

The site is part of Brockville General’s vision to expand community health services.

Clark thanked Jones for visiting the hospital and said he was proud of its staff and the work being done to improve care.

Brockville General Hospital thanked Jones and Clark for visiting in a social media post.

The visit comes as health care remains an issue across the region, with hospitals working to improve access to services and patient care.
