Ontario voters are being encouraged to check their registration before the next municipal or provincial election.
Residents can now confirm or update their information through RegisterToVoteON.ca, a single online service designed to make sure voters receive important election details and avoid delays at the polls.
The website allows people to confirm they are already registered, change an address or correct personal information. Eligible voters who are not on the list can also add themselves.
To vote in an Ontario election, a person must be at least 18 years old, a Canadian citizen and a resident of the province.
Election officials say checking early can make voting day quicker and easier, while helping ensure notices and other information reach the right address.
Residents can visit RegisterToVoteON.ca to review their information. Help is also available by calling 1-866-242-3025.
Anyone who has recently moved, turned 18 or changed personal details is encouraged to check their registration now rather than waiting until election day.
