UWLG announced $354,459 in funding for 20 local programs
The United Way Leeds & Grenville (UWLG) kicked off its 2025 campaign, Hope Starts with You, with a packed Volunteer Breakfast on May 1 at the Brockville Country Club. Over 100 volunteers, leaders, and supporters came together to celebrate community and compassion during Canada’s National Volunteer Week.
Board Chair Ian McFall praised the room’s energy, thanking attendees for their spirit of giving. Sponsored by Brockville Hyundai, the morning included seed pod gifts from Developmental Services of Leeds & Grenville, symbolizing small acts of kindness growing into big change.
Three guest speakers—David Beatty, Chris Curry, and Jordi Wills—shared inspiring stories about leadership and service. The event also honoured top volunteers and workplaces with 2024 awards, including TD Bank, 3M Canada, and Darren Gallacher.
UWLG announced $354,459 in funding for 20 local programs, from youth services to senior support, reinforcing their message: hope truly starts with every one of us.
