Hydro One has planned an outage from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. affecting a wide area from Highway 29 to east of Shanly
Residents in parts of Leeds and Grenville are being advised of a scheduled power outage set for Sunday, April 12.
Hydro One has planned an outage from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. affecting a wide area from Highway 29 to east of Shanly.
Communities expected to be impacted include Bethel, Stones Corners, Algonquin, Roebuck, Charleville, Domville, Spencerville, Ventnor, Hyndman and Shanly.
The provider says it will run generators at as many towers as possible to reduce service disruptions, but outages are still expected due to the scale of the shutdown.
Residents who rely on internet and other powered services are encouraged to prepare in advance.
Spencer City Bar and Grill in Spencerville, which has a full building backup generator, is expected to remain open to provide food and washroom access during the outage.
