Police say the investigation remains ongoing
Police say a 39-year-old man was arrested and drugs were seized during an evening arrest on Victoria Avenue.
Officers located the man around 6 p.m. on Dec. 20 after learning he was wanted on a warrant for failing to attend court on earlier offences. Police arrested him at the scene.
During a search following the arrest, officers found a quantity of crystal meth. The drugs were seized as evidence.
Investigators say the man is expected to be charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking. Police did not release the amount seized.
The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing. No injuries were reported.
Police say the investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information related to drug trafficking in the area is encouraged to contact police or Crime Stoppers. Charges have not been proven in court. The arrest was made without incident, and police continue patrols in the neighbourhood after the arrest.
