A 42-year-old man is facing charges after police responded to a reported disturbance at a Brockville mental health and addictions facility.
Ontario Provincial Police say officers were called to Lanark, Leeds and Grenville Addictions and Mental Health at 25 Front Ave. at about 2 p.m. Oct. 2 after reports of a man causing a disturbance in the lobby.
Police say the man was upset, acting disruptively and refusing to leave. He left before officers arrived.
During the investigation, officers learned the man allegedly threatened to cause bodily harm to a staff member while leaving the property.
Police also determined the man was bound by a probation order requiring him to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
Officers searched the area and found the man a short time later. He was arrested without incident and held for a bail hearing.
He was charged with uttering threats and failing to comply with probation.
The allegations have not been tested in court.
