Residents are being asked to stay alert and report any sightings of the vehicle or its occupants
Police in Brockville are investigating a grandparent-style scam that has left victims out thousands of dollars in recent days. The Brockville Police Service says multiple reports were received, with money collected directly from at least one residence.
Investigators have identified one suspect believed to be involved, along with a vehicle used during the incident. The suspect is described as a male of South Asian appearance, medium build, with a black beard. His age is unknown.
Police say the suspect was seen returning to a newer model Honda Civic, possibly with a decoration hanging from the rear-view mirror.
Residents are being asked to stay alert and report any sightings of the vehicle or its occupants. Anyone with information is urged to contact police and provide a licence plate if possible as the investigation continues.
