High-level positions handed out
Premier Doug Ford unveiled his new team of parliamentary assistants on Monday, April 7, 2025, with two local MPPs included in the appointments.
Steve Clark, MPP for Leeds–Grenville–Thousand Islands, was named Parliamentary Assistant to the Premier and Government House Leader. John Jordan, MPP for Lanark–Frontenac–Kingston, was appointed Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Health and to the Minister of Long-Term Care.
These parliamentary assistants will support cabinet ministers in legislative work, committees, and special projects, while also helping to communicate government initiatives and strengthen relationships across Ontario.
The appointments are part of the government’s strategy to address U.S. President Donald Trump’s tariffs and ongoing economic uncertainty, signaling the province’s efforts to stabilize and grow Ontario’s economy.
