The town of Prescott lit up with pride during a special evening dedicated to celebrating the long-standing service of its fire department members.
Fire Chief Renny Rayner was honoured for 35 years of leadership and commitment. John Houston was recognized for three decades of dedicated service to the community.
Deputy Chief Robert Gilmour received a double tribute — marking 40 years in uniform and being celebrated as he entered retirement. Firefighter Bob Dixon, who has also reached 30 years of service, will be acknowledged at an upcoming ceremony.
Local officials, including MP Michael Barrett and Prescott Mayor Gauri Shankar, joined in the celebrations to thank the firefighters for their unwavering dedication.
The event also highlighted the important role families play in supporting these local heroes. It was an emotional and inspiring evening that reflected the town’s deep appreciation for its fire department.
