The opportunity allows residents to make a difference while choosing a schedule that works for them
Senior Support Services-LLG is looking for volunteer drivers in the Prescott area to help seniors get to medical appointments and other essential trips.
The organization says volunteers can choose how often they drive and how far they are comfortable travelling, offering a flexible way to support older adults in the community.
Drivers are reimbursed for their mileage. The rate is $10 for in-town drives, plus $6 for every additional stop, and 50 cents per kilometre for out-of-town trips.
The service is seeking volunteers across Leeds and Grenville, including the Prescott area.
Senior Support Services-LLG says a small amount of time behind the wheel can make a meaningful difference for seniors who need help getting to important appointments and other essential destinations.
The opportunity allows residents to make a difference while choosing a schedule that works for them.
People interested in becoming volunteer drivers can call 613-342-3693, extension 2008, or email sdodgson@seniorsupportllg.ca for more information.
