Retired Chartered Professional Accountant Randy Chase has announced he will run for Brockville City Council in the 2026 municipal election.
He explained why he’s decided to run.
Chase listed his three top priorities.
He talked about how his background in finance and governance will influence his decisions.
Chase also spoke about changes or initiatives he would like to see implemented in Brockville over the next term, including moving to a two-year budget cycle instead of a one-year cycle.
Chase also said removing user fees for public transit could improve connectivity, reduce traffic problems and make Brockville more attractive to visitors and residents alike.
The municipal election is scheduled for Oct. 26.
