A 14-year-old youth was held for a bail hearing three times in one week after alleged breaches of release conditions, according to the Brockville Police Service.
Police say the youth was involved in 33 separate police occurrences since March and has been held for bail nine times. The offences include assault, assault with a weapon, assaulting a peace officer and several alleged breaches of undertaking, release and probation conditions.
The youth was released Aug. 29 after being held in custody earlier in the week. Police were called to the youth’s residence the following evening and arrested the youth for another alleged bail breach.
Police say the youth became agitated and struck their head against a partition in a police vehicle. The youth received treatment at Brockville General Hospital and was later held pending further review.
In a separate incident, an 18-year-old man was charged with impaired driving Aug. 29 after failing a roadside breath test. Further testing confirmed alcohol impairment.
