Last years winner took home a cheque for $22,000
The Jackpot is growing and this Saturday at 9pm at the annual 1000 Islands Regatta we will see who takes home the top prize in The River 50/50 Draw. We spoke with United Way Leeds and Grenville's Melissa Hindman who says as far as the jackpot goes, they are on pace to break last years take home total.
Hindman said even if you don't win, your donation goes a long way.
She had plenty to thank for making this all possible.
Last years winner took home a cheque for $22,000 and was on hand to collect the winnings however you do not have to be present to win. Tickets will still be on sale up until the drawing is made at 9pm Saturday night.
