A 50-year-old Augusta Township man has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with a homicide investigation that began in July.
Ontario Provincial Police say officers were called to a County Road 26 residence shortly before 3:30 p.m. on July 8, where a person was found dead. The death was determined to be a homicide.
The deceased has been identified as 79-year-old Donna Lowry of Augusta Township.
Police say David Collison was arrested Tuesday and also faces charges including indignity to a dead body, assault with a weapon, forcible confinement, assault causing bodily harm and possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order.
Another person was charged with indignity to a dead body on Sept. 15 in connection with the investigation.
Collison remains in custody and has already appeared in Brockville court today.
