Admission is free and open to all seniors across the region
Seniors from across Leeds-Grenville are invited to attend a free Seniors Expo in Brockville on June 9.
The first-ever event is being hosted by Steve Clark, MPP for Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes, and Michael Barrett, MP for Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands-Rideau Lakes.
The expo will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at New Hope Church and is designed to celebrate Seniors Month while highlighting programs, services and activities that help older adults stay healthy, active and connected.
Barrett outlined what attendees can expect during the event.
There will be 10 presenters taking part throughout the day, and Clark highlighted some of the topics that will be discussed.
Organizers say the event will also include body breaks, refreshments and a light lunch. Admission is free and open to all seniors across the region.
Registration is encouraged and can be completed by emailing steve.clark@pc.ola.org or michael.barrett@parl.gc.ca.
