A Brockville woman is celebrating after a surprise lottery win worth $100,000.
Susan Craig claimed a top prize from the Instant Gift Pack game, officials with the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation said Thursday.
Craig said she does not play often, but enjoys Instant games such as Crossword and Bingo when she buys a ticket. She learned about the win after checking the ticket on the OLG app. “I sat there, numb, and I couldn’t believe it!” she said while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect her cheque.
Craig said she called her family with the news. “There was a lot of disbelief,” she said. “They were all happy for me and want to celebrate together.”
She plans to share the money with family and may buy a new car. “But first, I’d like a nice steak dinner,” she added.
