A vehicle drove into the water after OPP attempted to make a traffic stop
One person is dead following Tuesday's traffic stop in Greater Napanee.
Investigators with Ontario's Special Investigations Unit sas OPP divers recovered the body of an unidentified individual from a vehicle in Lake Ontario late Wednesday night.
The vehicle drove into the water after an officer with Lennox and Addington OPP attempted to make a traffic stop on Highway 33 near County Road 21 late Tuesday night.
A search of the water and surrounding area ensued with no signs of anyone that may have been inside the vehicle at the time.
The SIU is continuing to look into the circumstances behind the crash.
They are asking anyone with information to contact the SIU.
