The South Grenville Food Bank is recruiting fundraising and event volunteers to help support programs that raise money and awareness for local families experiencing food insecurity.
The organization said volunteers are needed for a variety of community activities, including BBQs, canteens, bake sales, donation drives, outreach events and its annual Casino Royale fundraiser. Opportunities are also available for event setup, takedown, parking assistance and guest support.
Food bank officials said the volunteer roles are flexible, with no weekly commitment required. People can choose to help once a month, once a year or at other times that fit their schedules.
The organization is also seeking new members for its fundraising committee. Committee volunteers help plan events, develop fundraising ideas, connect with sponsors and support initiatives throughout the year.
Interested residents can contact the South Grenville Food Bank by email at sgfundraising@bellnet.ca or by phone at (613) 640-6606 to learn more about available opportunities.
