Ontario Provincial Police say a Smiths Falls man has been arrested and charged after a woman was found dead at a Spencerville residence.
Police responded to a home on Crowder Road on Saturday, Aug. 29, after one person was found deceased. The victim has been identified as Chelsea Swinwood, 37, of Spencerville.
Today, police arrested Justin Donovan-Biscope, 35, of Smiths Falls. He has been charged with second-degree murder and indignity to a body under the Criminal Code.
Donovan-Biscope remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville tomorrow.
The Grenville County OPP detachment is leading the investigation under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch. The investigation also involves the Office of the Chief Coroner and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
