Beaches and parks have seen good attendance this summer
The St. Lawrence Parks Commission says beaches and parks have seen a surge of visitors this summer, as more people head outdoors to enjoy Eastern Ontario.
Communications and Media Relations Officer Amanda Liebeck said the season has been a positive one for the Commission, with steady attendance across popular sites.
She noted that the Canada Strong Pass could also be playing a role in recent attendance and mentioned some of the spots discounted from the pass.
At the same time, the Commission is reminding the public that a fire ban is in effect for all St. Lawrence Parks.
While open flames are not permitted, devices without open fire can still be used.
With summer still in full swing, the Commission is encouraging residents and tourists to continue making the most of the region’s trails, beaches, and waterfront parks.
