St. Lawrence Writers' Festival brings Canadian authors to Brockville

The event gives local readers an opportunity to meet authors and take part in literary events close to home

The second annual St. Lawrence Writers' Festival is underway in Brockville.

The festival kicked off Thursday night at the Brockville Arts Hub, bringing authors from across Canada together for several days of events.

Committee member and award-winning author Rod Carley says the festival offers readers a chance to connect with established and up-and-coming writers.

The schedule includes book signings, q and a sessions with some of the country’s top writers, and a special cruise.

Carley said the festival would not be possible without the unwavering local support.

The event gives local readers an opportunity to meet authors and take part in literary events close to home.

Tickets are available online or at the door. More information is available on the St. Lawrence Writers' Festival’s website.
