From 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., children can collect candy indoors while meeting firefighters and neighbours
With rain, wind, and cold weather expected on Halloween night, Augusta Fire Rescue is offering a warm and safe way to celebrate. Families are invited to join the department’s Indoor Trick-or-Treating event on Friday, Oct. 31, at both fire stations in Maitland and North Augusta.
From 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., children can collect candy indoors while meeting firefighters and neighbours. Tables and chairs will be set up for residents who wish to hand out treats, creating a fun community atmosphere without the worry of bad weather.
Those who want to participate by handing out candy are asked to contact Augusta Fire Rescue by email at rbowman@augusta.ca or call 613-348-3455 ext. 201. Participants should include their name, contact information, and preferred location to help organizers prepare enough tables.
Augusta Fire Rescue says the event is a safe, dry, and family-friendly way to enjoy Halloween together.
