This Saturday
The Grand Parade is returning to Athens this Saturday (Sep. 20), bringing colour, energy and community spirit to the streets.
Senior Support Services L.L.G. is leading the event for the second year in a row, as part of the nationwide fundraiser that supports seniors across Canada.
Community Relations Officer, Sarah Dodgson says participants are encouraged to get creative and have fun.
Dodgson also highlighted that those unable to attend in person can still take part.
She explained where the funds raised will go.
The event kicks off at 10 a.m. with check-in, followed by opening remarks and an 11 a.m. send-off.
Walkers can enjoy rest stops, snacks and clear route signage throughout the day.
