Investigators continue to appeal to the public for information about what happened after his last sighting
Anthony “Buzzy” Roberts vanished from Prescott, Ontario, on January 8, 1996. He was last seen driving east on King Street, and that brief sighting remains the last confirmed observation of him. When reported missing on January 19, 1996, Roberts’ vehicle was found at his home along with his winter jacket, groceries, and personal belongings, suggesting he did not leave voluntarily.
Authorities noted witnesses saw Roberts with a large amount of cash shortly before his disappearance. Police suspect foul play, but despite an extensive investigation, the case remains unsolved more than 30 years later. Roberts was 36 at the time, standing 180 centimetres tall with brown wavy hair, a beard and moustache, and brown eyes.
Investigators continue to appeal to the public for information about what happened after his last sighting. Anyone with tips is asked to contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 613-345-1790 or their local police service.
