Thousand Islands National Park is reminding visitors to plan ahead before exploring its islands, trails and waterways this summer.
Located along the St. Lawrence River, the park offers camping, hiking, paddling and scenic views across a landscape of granite islands and rugged shorelines.
Parks Canada says visitors should know that many island locations are only accessible by boat, and transportation must be arranged in advance. The park does not provide boat service, so visitors may need to book a local water taxi or arrange their own vessel.
Officials are also encouraging guests to share their travel plans, prepare for changing weather conditions and choose activities that match their experience level.
