Three people killed in three-vehicle crash east of Cornwall

The investigation remains ongoing, and motorists are being asked to avoid the closed section of County Road 17

Three people are dead following a three-vehicle collision in South Glengarry Township Thursday night.

Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry OPP responded to the crash just after 9:45 p.m. on County Road 17 near County Road 27.

Police say three people were pronounced dead at the scene. They include a 61-year-old driver and a 54-year-old passenger, both from South Glengarry, as well as an 18-year-old driver from North Glengarry.

Occupants of a third vehicle were taken to hospital for assessment.

County Road 17 remains closed in both directions between County Road 27 and Fairview Road as the investigation continues.

Members of the SD&G OPP are investigating with assistance from the OPP East Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement team.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or may have relevant dashcam footage to contact the SD&G OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
