Brockville police are investigating a break and enter at a Tim Hortons on William Street after a theft was discovered early this morning.
At about 4:45 a.m. on Thursday, April 30, staff reported the business had been broken into overnight. Officers attended and secured the scene.
Investigators say the suspect entered through the drive-through window. Surveillance video shows a person wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, green pants, a mask and gloves. The sweatshirt has a logo with white lettering reading “ALWAYS SUNNY LADDER” on the back.
Police say a grinder was used to cut into safes inside the store. About $1,900 in cash was taken during the incident.
The investigation is ongoing. Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Brockville Police Service at 613-342-0127. Tips can also be shared anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
