Longtime Prescott resident Tim Mackay is challenging incumbent Mayor Gauri Shankar for the mayor’s seat in the 2026 municipal election.
Mackay explained why he decided to run for the top seat.

In addition, he wants to create advisory committees and support housing growth that fits with Prescott’s character and existing neighbourhoods.
