For close to 30 years
This past Labour Day weekend saw lots of family gatherings throughout the area, including the Annual Farella Family Reunion in Lyn.
Otherwise known as tomato day, Joe Farella says its been a family tradition for close to 30 years.
This past Sunday, family and friends got together to start the all day process at 8 a.m. Here's Joyce Farella.
At the end of the day, everyone gets to take home their own jar of delicious tomato sauce.
Alongside her husband (Joe), Joyce says the day is also in memory of his mother, Ida.
The Farella's say it's a great way to bring family and close friends together to proudly celebrate their Italian heritage.
They also want to congratulate their daughter Jessica and son-in-law Dan on their engagement at this year's event.
