Officials continue to monitor conditions and are expected to provide updates as the cleanup and investigation progress
A transport truck rollover has forced the closure of County Road 2 between Johnstown and Cardinal, causing traffic disruptions for drivers and commercial vehicles in the area.
Officials reported that the roadway is closed following the incident and remains accessible only to local residents. All commercial traffic is prohibited from using the affected section of the road while crews respond and work to manage the situation.
Commercial vehicles are being redirected north to Highway 416 at Johnstown as authorities deal with the closure. The duration of the shutdown has not yet been announced.
Motorists are being asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes whenever possible to reduce congestion and allow emergency responders and recovery crews to work safely.
The rollover has affected a key transportation corridor in eastern Ontario, leading to delays for drivers travelling between communities along County Road 2.
Officials continue to monitor conditions and are expected to provide updates as the cleanup and investigation progress.
