Brockville Ontario Speedway has announced penalties involving two DirtCar Sportsman competitors following post-race technical inspections on Saturday, July 4.
The speedway said voltage readings were completed on competitors in three racing divisions in accordance with the DirtCar Rule Book. During the inspection process, two drivers were found to be in violation of the applicable DirtCar voltage regulation.
The infractions involved Domonick Merkley and Gavin Eisele, both competing in the DirtCar Sportsman division. Under DirtCar rules, the two drivers were disqualified from their feature finishing positions and moved to the rear of the official event results.
As part of the penalties, Merkley and Eisele forfeited all feature points and prize money earned during the event.
