Local leaders joined United Way at Stoodley’s on December 11 to mark the achievement
United Way Leeds and Grenville says its 2025 Ultimate Burger Battle raised more than $5,000 after local eateries sold over 2,000 specialty burgers during November. The campaign featured 13 restaurants, each creating a one-month-only burger to help support local food programs.
Stoodley’s Kitchen and Beverage in Elgin earned the event’s top title, Ultimate Burger of the Year, for its Smoke Show burger. Cedar Valley Golf and Country Club finished second, while 1000 Islands Brewery placed third. Karra’s Burgers and Fries won Most Ultimate Burgers Sold with 431 Pump Up The Jam burgers.
Fans also voted for the People’s Choice awards, led by Karra’s Burgers and Fries, followed by Stoodley’s and Sam’s Grill.
Local leaders joined United Way at Stoodley’s on December 11 to mark the achievement. Organizers highlighted the strong community support, including more than $7,000 in gift-in-kind contributions and sponsorships that helped drive the month-long campaign.
