OPSEU/SEFPO says bargaining efforts between Brockville and Area Community Living Association and its striking workers have stalled after the union rejected what it called an inadequate wage offer.
The union says talks were held Wednesday with the help of a private mediator. It says Executive Director Sandra Summers offered an hourly wage increase for the agency’s 110 workers that would not cover the cost of a cup of coffee.

Workers have been on strike since May as part of the Worth Fighting For campaign, involving nearly 4,000 workers at 23 community agencies across Ontario.
OPSEU/SEFPO says three agencies involved in the coordinated strike have reached settlements, while several others have agreed to mediation-arbitration.
