Police in Brockville say a 39-year-old man faces multiple charges after an early morning assault left two people injured.
Officers were called around 5:30 a.m. on April 12 to a Tim Hortons on William Street, where a man with significant facial injuries and a bleeding leg reported an attack.
Police determined the incident began at a nearby Buell Street residence. There, officers found a second victim, a woman with bruising and cuts, along with the suspect, who appeared to be in an excited state believed to be linked to drug use.
Investigators allege the man attacked the male victim with a wooden club and threatened the female victim, causing injuries to her torso.
Both victims were taken to Brockville General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The accused was charged and later released on bail with conditions and a future court date.
