The 21-year-old was already on probation
Perth police arrested a 21-year-old woman early June 13 following a disturbance and break-in on Perth Street.
At about 5:15 a.m., officers responded to a 911 call reporting trouble involving the intoxicated woman, who was already on probation.
A friend had taken her from a local bar to ensure her safety, but tensions rose upon returning home. The woman kicked in the door to re-enter the residence, damaging the door frame.
Police found her hiding nearby in an overgrown area. During arrest, she resisted and kicked an officer in the face, causing minor injuries.
She faces charges including break and enter, assaulting a peace officer, two counts of probation violations, and public intoxication. The woman remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
This incident highlights ongoing challenges police face with repeat offenders and public safety in the community.
