Wylie helped save the Brockville Y in the 70's
During their Board of Directors meeting Tuesday, the YMCA of Eastern Ontario recognized longtime local broadcaster Bruce Wylie ahead of his April 7 retirement, ending a 55-year career.
When the board at the time wanted to sell, Wylie shared how he helped save the Brockville Y building in the 1970s by doing a radio-thon at the Y.
CEO Rob Adams thanked Wylie for providing him with the opportunity to talk about the Y every Monday morning.
