The annual celebration is expected to draw families and visitors from across the region
Brockville residents and visitors are invited to celebrate Canada Day on July 1 with free activities, live entertainment and fireworks.
The festivities begin with a community walking parade from City Hall to Hardy Park at 11:45 a.m., followed by the official ceremony at noon and a performance of O Canada by Oliver Filion.
Here’s Lyndsay Bigley of Brockville Tourism on some other activities happening at the event.
Attendees can also enjoy a petting zoo, princess meet-and-greets, inflatable games, summer curling and Aquatarium activities throughout the afternoon.
Free cupcakes and ice cream will also be available while supplies last. The day will conclude with a fireworks display at Blockhouse Island at 9:45 p.m.
Bigley talked about how locals can watch the fireworks from on the water.
The annual celebration is expected to draw families and visitors from across the region.
