What's Good in Brockville? 2025 was a landmark year, says Mayor Wren

A strong year for housing, tourism and infrastructure

Brockville Mayor Matt Wren says there are lots of positives to takeaway from the year 2025.

After having the highest number of housing starts in four decades last year, the city's housing boom continued this year with construction started on over 250 new homes.

It was another strong year for tourism in Brockville as well. Wren shares an interesting stat.

The return of the Tall Ships Festival brought huge crowds to the city's downtown core and waterfront.

Wren says it was also a big year for renewing city infrastructure with the the completion of the William Street Overpass and water tower projects.

The first draft of the city's 2026 budget is expected to be out in early January.
