$400,000 for the BGH program
The 32nd Annual Friends of Palliative Care Golf Tournament on Wednesday (Aug. 27) was a massive success yet again.
Tournament co-chair, Dave Publow announced this year's total in front of a sold out crowd at the Brockville Country Club.
That total goes directly to the Palliative Care Program at BGH, which ensures that people have the comfort and dignity they need in their final days.
The service costs around $900,000 to operate each year.
Publow says this wouldn't be possible without so many incredible sponsors.
He adds that everyone from the golfers to the volunteers are in it for the same reason.
Planning for next year's tournament begins in January.
