As a volunteer-driven organization, WP4S depends on community donations and support to operate
The Weekender Program for Students has moved into a new space in Brockville and its founder says the location is a strong fit for the growing initiative.
The not-for-profit program recently relocated operations to 803 Chelsea St. Laura Roobol, founder and co-ordinator, said the move will help the organization continue supporting local youth.
She first explained what the Weekender Program for Students is.
As a volunteer-driven organization, WP4S depends on community donations and support to operate.
Roobol outlined the benefits that come with the new space.
Adam Macgregor, one of the building’s owners, said he is pleased to support a positive community effort.
Roobol also spoke about what keeps her motivated.
She highlighted the cost required to support one student through the program.
