The Alzheimer Society Lanark Leeds Grenville is preparing to take guests on a high-seas adventure while raising money for local families affected by dementia.
The organization’s 8th Annual Gala for Alzheimer’s is set for Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Brockville Memorial Centre.
This year’s “High Heels and High Seas” theme will feature a Mediterranean-inspired dinner, dancing, games, prizes and a silent auction.
Sarah Cavanagh of the Alzheimer Society discusses some of the local programs and services the funds raised will support.
She also spoke about the organization’s role in supporting families throughout Lanark, Leeds and Grenville.
Last year, the society provided more than 39,000 hours of care, along with thousands of education, support and adult day program visits.
Tickets are $100 per person. Scotiabank is also matching the cost of 30 tickets sold at its two Brockville branches with an equal donation.
