Once ready, the pups will be introduced to the public as part of the exhibit
About a month and a half ago, Mable the otter at the Aquatarium gave birth to three male pups now in the facility’s care.
Jen Carter, director of operations, said the animals are still in early development, with their biggest milestone so far being the opening of their eyes.
Carter noted this is the second time the Aquatarium has welcomed otter pups.
She explained the plan for the pups when they grow up.
Once ready, the pups will be introduced to the public as part of the exhibit.
Born March 8 and 9, the pups are described as healthy and progressing well, with staff conducting regular wellness checks as part of ongoing conservation and breeding efforts.
