A multiple award-winning Canadian pianist is bringing his acclaimed talent to St. James Anglican Church in Maitland later this month.
Philip Chiu will perform a special fundraising concert on Friday, July 17 at 7 p.m. as part of the church's 200th anniversary celebrations.
Organizer Sarah Jane Dumbrille explains what sets his talent apart.
Chiu has performed at major venues and festivals across Canada, the United States, Japan and France. He is also known for collaborating with many of Canada's leading musicians.
Dumbrille highlighted some of his many accomplishments.
Proceeds from the concert support the ongoing care of the nearly 200-year-old landmark.
